Fedrigoni presents Arena, a new and broad range of uncoated white and ivory papers available in four shades and three surfaces finish.
Thanks to their versatility, Arena papers certainly make life easier for customers. They are ideal for designing and printing contemporary books as well as solutions for more chic packaging. Arena ensures optimum printing performance even when reproducing works of art, given the growing preference for opaque paper in museums to the detriment of ultra-glossy coated paper.
The variety of weights (from 70 to 580 g/m2) means that Arena papers adapt to offset, hot and relief printing, while always ensuring high standards. The choice is between three different surfaces (Smooth, Rough and Bulk), while four shades are available (bright ivory of Ivory, white without optical bleaching of Natural, the warm white of White and the cold shade of Extra White).
As well as also offering different short and long fibre options in standard formats, digital printing enthusiasts can choose Arena papers that are already optimised for HP Indigo printing presses.
What makes Arena such an ambitious project is also the determination to reduce the environmental impact of production even further: rationalisation into a coordinated range of many uncoated papers that Fedrigoni already produces together with new products helps reduce manufacturing waste arising from the change-over from one production run to another.
And there's more: just as the Arena is a place for democracy and sharing, this project is also based on sharing the production process between the Italian paper mills in Verona, Varone and Pioraco belonging to the Fedrigoni Group.
Sector professionals can also assess printing yield in issue 17 of Pulp, developed entirely using Fedrigoni Arena® papers.
